About This Site

Finding a released Scotland County inmate requires knowing which record continues after a name leaves the live jail view. This private reference brings together the county release-record route, the state corrections offender search, post-release supervision resources, and the federal locator path. It organizes official sources without acting as the office that owns them.

Why This Resource Exists

North Carolina makes many government records available, but release information is divided by custodian. The Scotland County Sheriff's Office creates county booking and release records. NCDAC runs OPI for prison incarceration and community supervision. The North Carolina Post-Release Supervision and Parole Commission handles eligible parole decisions and post-release conditions. Federal custody histories appear through the Bureau of Prisons when that agency held the person.

This site gathers those release paths, official offender searches, supervision checks, records-request steps, and facility details in one place. It also explains why Citizen Connect current confinement is different from a historical release record and why a transfer into NCDAC custody is not a community release.

What Visitors Can Find

The content is organized around common Scotland County release questions and the public office best placed to answer each one.

  • The home page supplies the full named-person search and county or state release-record process, with separate help for a projected release date, a VINELink check, and parole and probation.
  • Separate facility pages distinguish Scotland County Detention Center records from Scotland Correctional Institution records.
  • Official search steps show how Citizen Connect and NCDAC OPI answer different custody questions.
  • Records-request guidance identifies the booking episode, date, release fields, and booking photograph that may be requested from the correct custodian.

Limits of Our Role

Scotland County Released Inmates is privately operated. It has no connection with a North Carolina government agency, sheriff's office, jail, court, corrections department, or parole office.

  • We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person in custody.
  • We cannot post a bond, schedule a visit, or send funds for someone else.
  • We cannot give legal advice or interpret an order for a specific case.
  • We cannot promise that every posted address, charge, fee, or phone number remains current.

Only the Scotland County Sheriff's Office, NCDAC, or another originating agency can confirm current custody, charges, or release. This site points to their public channels.

Third-Party Search Partners

Some pages include search boxes supplied by third-party providers. Those providers set their own prices and determine what their tools return. If a search leads to a paid registration, this site may receive a referral fee that helps keep its public content available without charge. We do not control a partner's pricing, data coverage, or results.
